Newer stations are being built with better cooling, longer cables, and real-time diagnostics that flag a dead unit before a driver pulls in.

Until that culture spreads everywhere, treat any charging map as a best-case scenario, not a promise.

And maybe keep a healthy skepticism about any press release celebrating a "record number of new chargers." The real measure of an EV network isn't how many plugs exist.

It's how many you'd bet your family's vacation on.
